The Sox Brookhart Memorial Enduro
Lost In Lodi
Thank you to all the Riders that came out for our race on Sunday, April 16, 2023! It was a terrific event and we look forward to seeing you next year!
Lost in Lodi is an approximate 70+ mile enduro that begins at the Richland Area Volunteer Fire Department in Shade, Ohio. Primitive camping and parking is available at the Shade Community Center parking lot next to the Fire Department.
The race started in 2011 and criss-crosses the Township of Lodi. Throw in Spring rains (or snow!) and foliage and you have one heck of a ride. The race is a part of the Appalachian Championship Enduro Series (ACES) and follows the traditional timekeeping format for enduros.
For more details about the race, see Race Info.

Who was Sox Brookhart?

Thelbert "Sox" Brookhart was an avid motorcyclist, a member of the Athens Motorcycle Club, a lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association, and an inductee in the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
Sox owned and operated Brookhart Cycle Sales in Albany, Ohio. Sox was noted as a key influence to modern off-road motorcycling from his days riding and selling Triumph, Greeves, Sachs, and Hodaka motorcycles. He became a part of John Penton's grass roots off-road revolution in early 1970 with his Penton and Husqvarna franchise. Sox was known for his professional, clean, and meticulous bike assemblies as well as his riding expertise and on a PentonUSA blog, named a worthy friend of all in the off-road community.
Sox passed away February 27, 2009, after a brief illness.
